New and old prefects made their promise to serve the school this month. Thanks were given to retiring prefects led by last year’s head prefect Bryan S4 who made a simple but eloquent and inspiring speech. New prefects were announced as follows.
Head prefect: Alin S3
Secondary Vice Prefect: Sarah S3
Primary Vice Prefect: Alexa P6
Congratulations and many thanks to all our hard working prefects.
The prefects and trainee prefects got together for an amazing school camp this year held in our own beautiful grounds. The enjoyable activities, organised by the head and senior prefects, included team building activities, cooking and of course movie watching and sleeping under the stars.

Don’t miss this opportunity and see you there!
This is a short movie called “Membaca 2.0”. The movie is a production of the Stamford Bahasa Indonesia Department and Primary 6 students for Primary IDP (Interdisciplinary project) last week.
Berikut ini adalah sebuah presentasi dari Bahasa Indonesia dan anak-anak kelas 6 untuk memenuhi proyek IDP (Interdisciplinary project).
We hope you enjoy their humurous and well produced movie.
In the first week of Term One, Secondary and JC students collaborated creatively to produce their own mini research and design projects – from robotics to tsunami breakers, from candy dispensers to football boot cleaners, students impressed with their unique and creative approach and their presentations of their work.
On Saturday 29th of September, Stamford School was proud to host 224 students in the SEAMO maths competition. As the Seamo centre for the Bandung area, we had students from as far away as Jakarta, Cirebon and Tasikmalaya.
Our Term 1 Stamford Sports started with an Amazing Race with P6 – JC students competing outside of school in the Citra Green, area while P1 – P5 competed inside school. Students later congregated in the MPH for exciting and competitive games of Captain’s Ball. Many congratulations to Fantastic Falcon who won the first round but there is still a lot left to play for in the next rounds!
“Speaking From the Heart” is an annual event at Stamford School to provide an opportunity for students all over Bandung to realise their full potential in public speaking. The recently concluded event was an especially sweet one for us. We have seen our students bloomed and improved tremendously with remarkable confidence. Congratulations to all winners in this competition!

Yet another skill that our primary student picked up before the term break is making recycled paper. They had a hands on learning experience for the whole process and it is something that they can do at home to reduce paper wastage. Here at Stamford, we work hard to give meaningful and enriching experience for your child.
